Scotland is known throughout the world as the home of golf. Its exact birthplace may be the subject of much debate, but what isn’t in doubt is that Scotland is home to some of the oldest and best courses anywhere on the planet, particularly in Tayside and Fife.

From rolling sand dunes to towering mountains, Mother Nature has created a stunning landscape in central Scotland in which some brilliant golf courses have been created. The Scottish Classics Trail is made up of seven courses. Inland there are the delights of the two 18-hole courses of Blairgowrie and the challenge of three courses at Gleneagles to enjoy. If you prefer the sea air there are the links courses of Crail, Kingsbarns, Fairmont, The Duke’s and Carnoustie to savour.
